We had quite a bit of anxiety about going home. First, we were afraid that we would want to come home immediately and not want to return to Amsterdam. Second, we were concerned that things had changed at home, and we would feel out of place. And finally, we were concerned that we would not like it at home, and would not want to return to the US.
But all of our fears were unfounded. We loved every minute of our trip home, but we realized that we still wanted to return to Amsterdam for a while longer to finish what we started. But most of all we felt loved and missed by all of our family and friends.
We were able to do all sorts of fun things: see our dog, sleep in our own bed, cook with family and friends, go to Fridays After Five, go to Ashley's graduation from Nursing School, go wine tasting, meet our new niece Sophia, and go to the lakehouse (just to name a few)!
