As Brandon said in the previous post, we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary in Copenhagen, Denmark this past weekend. It continues to amaze me that we have really moved so far away and are able to see such amazing places. We both feel so blessed to have this opportunity. We left Amsterdam bright and early on Friday morning and arrived in Copenhagen around 9:30 and spent most of the day wandering through the city. We were lucky to be there during an unusual heat wave so we were able to enjoy temperatures in the 70s. Here are some of my favorite pics from the weekend.
Beautiful ivy that lined many of the buildings throughout the city.
Entrance to Tivoli gardens decorated for Halloween. Unfortunately it was closed so we weren't able to go in.
City Hall and big square.
The tower is on the stock exchange, looks like a blob castle.
First canal we saw. We sat along the edge and had lunch. The water was so clear you could see all the bikes at the bottom!
The Palace.
Nyhavn. Most beautiful canal with tons of cafes. It was packed with people enjoying the weather.

More ivy.
Relaxing in the park.
Day 2 we started by walking to the Kastellet and to see the Little Mermaid. This is the map of the Kastellet, a fortification similar to Naarden.
Outside the fortress.
Gefion Fountain outside the fortress.

One of the many canals lined with boats on our way to The Church of Our Savior.
The Tower of The Church of Our Savior. There is a spiral staircase on the outside at the top. We got some great pics from there.
Beautiful view of Copenhagen from the tower of The Church of Our Savior
Enjoying a flodebolle (chocolate covered marshmallow) by the water.
Relaxing after a long day by the water.
Congrats once again! That looks like a beautiful trip that was blessed with extremely beautiful weather! (and a skirt? really? It is freezing in Deutschland today - I can't even imagine!) I also like the blob castle and that you could see the bikes at the bottom. That is just...... so special ;)
